A Lost Girl!
A 17 year-old girl went on a week long boat trip in the carribbean with some friends. The boat crashed onto an uncharted island because of a terrible sea storm, causing their trip to be interupted.
Her friends have returned safely, but without her. The picture below was taken 5 days before fishers discovered the group of teens on the shore, semi-unconscious. The girl seems to be having a good time in the picture, so police believe the girls dissapperance is truly an accident.
The group of teens rented this boat for the week from one of teen's uncles, so they could have a great trip before they all went their seperate ways for college. Each teen packed a bag for 10 days just in case some sort of mishap messed with their trip... kind of ironic... Well they left the girls bag on the island with her, along with a satelite phone, a flare, some necessary nick-nacks like a knife and matches, a battery for the phone, and some emergency food and water. They put all that material in a container that the animals can't get into, and felt it was a good idea because the island was super tiny and had no traces of other humans living there.
There was a search around the entire island done by all the major government agents, leaving no rock un-turned or tree un-disturbed. After a few days of searching for the girl they decided to give up and come back in about 3 days to see if she found her way to the "gift basket" they left for her.
The girl's name is Amber McCoy. Her parents are really worried, and would like everyone to pray that she gets found before it's too late.
Prayer seems to be a pretty good option right about now considering that not one of the friends can recall that they were on a boat trip...
Please keep her, her family, and those friends in your thoughts so we don't leave her behind.

The Lost Girl Found!
Amber McCoy, who was stranded on an island after a terrible boat accident, caused by a nasty storm that no one warned the teens about. Well this is what happened in the 3 weeks she was on that island.
I woke up in the bottom of a hole, near a tree, so confused. The last thing I could remember was the water thrashing onto the boat, thunder, lighting, screaming, yelling, panicking, and then a large smashing noise. It took me about half a day to get out of the hole. It was really deep and right by a tree that attracted tons of bugs. There was a sharp pain in my right arm, I thought my bad wrist was just acting up at the worst time possible. It turned out a few days later I didn't really have much feeling in my pinkie and thumb, so I tried to make a splint for my wrist and concentrated on making my left hand my dominant one. I built a little shelter out of some tree limbs and some vine-like plant parts deep in the forest waiting for reinforcements and/or help, but for awhile no one came. So I walked around the island looking for food. I found nothing for a few days, then I stumbled upon a berry bush and an odd fruit tree. I ate that for a day continuing to look for meat or something. I came to a beach and walked on just the beach portion close to the water for a day and found a crashed boat. Then next to that was a complicated looking box... with my name on it. I figured out how to open it and found other food and water and used the satellite phone and called the number that was written on a sticky note stuck to it. The phone rang and rang and rang. Finally a voice! The sound of someone else's voice was so great I just said "Hello, I am here!" over and over again. The person on the other side of the phone asked me for my name, and I paused for a long moment, she repeated the question, " Who am I speaking to?" I finally responded with, "Amber, Amber McCoy." The person let out a shriek of joy and said " Finally!" Next thing I know, helicopters are in the sky heading towards me. I get shoved into the helicopter and get home to my parents and receive a large amount of hugs and kisses from loved ones. Now I am here and alive, that's all that matters.
There is her story, she said it well, "She is alive and here now, that's all that matters!" She once was lost but now is found, The Lost Girl is gonna create a book about what happened on that island, so if you wanna know more I am sure her story will be published in about 3 years. Just sit tight, we will keep you updated!
